Synergic Consulting was founded by Laura and opened it’s doors in 2013. We have been growing ever since.
Our shareholders, Laura and Matt, have 30 years combined experience working with hundreds of small and medium businesses helping them with all their accounting and reporting requirements. However, perhaps even more importantly, we help the owners of those businesses to understand what numbers they need to be looking at and how they can use those numbers to set and monitor their goals and create the businesses that they want to be running.
We love working with owner managed businesses, helping the owners to design and run a business that fits around their lifestyle, to grow those businesses and then ultimately planning and in some cases, executing their exit strategy.
We work with clients from all over the world and the power of technology means that we can be in completely different countries for our regular catch-ups. Geographical location no longer places any limits on how we can work together.
Laura qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 at international firm PKF, which is now a part of BDO LLP. Since qualifying, Laura has worked as a Manager in two international accountancy firms, a Finance Director for an IT software business with companies in both the UK and the US and then finally decided to set up her own company and Synergic Consulting was born.
Outside of work, Laura is kept busy with her two children, the family dog, family & friends, travelling, yoga and a love of all things “woo-woo”. She also has a secret Netflix box set addiction (sshhhh don’t tell anyone)!
Matt qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 with PKF and that is where he met Laura. They must like working together! After qualifying, Matt became Group Financial Controller at an oil distribution group and after assisting with the sale of the group, Matt moved to an international gas and electricity retailer as Financial Accountant. He decided to make the move to Synergic Consulting in 2014.
Outside of work, Matt is kept busy with his two children and endless dog walks. He loves to cook and considers it a great day if he ever manages to fill his children’s bottomless stomachs. Matt enjoys playing badminton and squash, travelling and may also have a slight Netflix habit.
